The North East Safety, Health & Environmental Partnership (NESHEP) is an organisation of committed professionals based in the North East, sharing best practice, helping to educate our member organisations in all aspects of Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental issues at work, the ultimate goal being to promote safe working environments and prevent accidents.
The Partnership is directed by a steering group of committed volunteers chaired by Alan Bassett, closely liaising with the HSE, clients, trade associations, professional bodies and other relevant organisations necessary to support our members.
If you have something to offer and would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Meetings are held on a bi-monthly basis at the Wilton Centre, Redcar.
Attendees are encouraged to meet at 9:30am over a cuppa; to network and share best practice prior to the presentations from 10:00am - 12:00am. Our speakers are of the highest standard and provide interesting/informative presentations to our members. and associates. New members are entitled to a 10 minute presentation to introduce themselves and their products/services to the group.
We generally organise a site visit for our August meeting due to holidays and members have previously benefited from various visits: SITA Recycling Plant – Haverton Hill, Caterpillar UK – Peterlee, NISSAN UK – Sunderland, 3M – Newton Aycliffe and more recently NIFCO.
Following on from our main meetings, all members are provided with meeting summaries and where possible copies of the presentations; ensuring that members who cannot attend are kept up to date.
Members are encouraged to bring associates along to the meetings with the hope to sign them up.
