Building Health & Safety Awards 2007

The entry process for the Building Health and Safety Awards 2007 will begin on 1st December 2006. These awards, organised by Building Magazine in association with HSE, showcase and reward excellence in all areas of construction health and safety and celebrate the continued success of Working Well Together, the industry's largest campaign focusing on helping micro and small / medium firms in the construction industry.

The awards are open to all those involved in construction, from the client, to the design phase, through to the contractor, workers and subsequent maintenance and demolition. This could be a small or large firm, individual, partnership or team.

This year's categories:

· Major Building Contractor's Safety Programme

· Building Contractor's Safety Programme

· Working Well Together Small Firm Award

· Best Housebuilder's Safety Programme

· Best Public Safety Programme

· Occupational Health Risk Management Award

· Best Safety Programme from a Designer or Engineer

· Client with the Best Commitment to Health & Safety ? Private Sector

· Client with the Best Commitment to Health & Safety ? Public Sector

· Best Safety Product or Equipment

· Integrated Project Safety Award

· Outstanding Safety Achievement Award

· Working Well Together Site Worker of the Year

· Health & Safety Champion of the Year)

· Working Well Together Campaign Award (Note ? only open to WWT members)

Entry closes on 16th February 2007. HSE are involved in the judging process. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 21 June 2007 at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, London.

Those who have taken ownership of the management of risk, demonstrated leadership and worked in partnership are encouraged to enter these awards.
